Company Responds to Demand for Modular Space with Additional Branches in Juárez, Hermosillo, Riviera Maya and Tijuana
BALTIMORE - September 25, 2008 - Williams Scotsman, the leading provider of modular space and storage solutions, today announced further expansion in Mexico with branch openings in Juárez, Hermosillo, Riviera Maya and Tijuana.
"The new branch openings represent the company's commitment to serving our Mexican customers in the manufacturing, mining, agricultural, and tourism-related fields," said Nicholas Polit, country manager of Mexico. "With nine branch locations strategically positioned throughout Mexico, we are able to offer our customers unprecedented value and service."
Located just across the border from El Paso, Texas, Juárez is a port of entry for all of central northern Mexico. The area is home to agriculture and manufacturing plants as well as mining facilities. Centrally located, Hermosillo serves as a gateway to various tourist destinations throughout Mexico. In addition, the area is home to a vibrant agricultural center and a growing industrial hub with well-known companies such as Ford Motor Company establishing factories there. Riviera Maya is a popular tourist destination located in the north-east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. Hotel construction and tourism are the driving forces behind economic development in the area. Tijuana is the westernmost city in Mexico and one of the fastest growing modern cities in the country. Tijuana and its surrounding area have become a major industrial center, with numerous factories opening every year.
Williams Scotsman began operating in Mexico five years ago and now has branches across the country (Hermosillo, Juárez, Mexico City, Monterrey, Queretaro, Tampico, Tijuana, Riviera Maya and Villahermosa). Williams Scotsman's Monterrey branch, which opened in October of 2007, was recently praised by local government dignitaries and school officials for the expeditious delivery of two portable classrooms to Huatusco Grade Schools. The portables, which are fully equipped with windows, electrical systems, and HVAC units, are helping to alleviate problems associated with overcrowded classrooms.
Williams Scotsman is the market leader in Mexico's modular space industry, offering mobile offices, permanent modular buildings and the Redi-Plex™ solution, an alternative that creates thousands of square feet of space in a matter of weeks.
