Gerry E. Holthaus named Sellinger School's 2008 Business Leader of the Year

Chairman and CEO of Algeco Scotsman Accepts Award at Annual Awards Gala in Baltimore

Gerry E. Holthaus, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Algeco Scotsman, was recently named "Business Leader of the Year" by Loyola College in Maryland's Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J., School of Business and Management at an annual awards dinner held on November 19 in Baltimore. Loyola's President, Rev. Brian F. Linnane commended Holthaus, who holds a degree in accounting from Loyola College, for his leadership, "Gerry Holthaus has presided over an era of extraordinary growth and advancement at his company, navigating a significant period of transition without sacrificing the company's commitment to service and quality. He has consistently demonstrated the sound judgment and professional integrity we strive to instill in our students, and as such embodies the ideals upon which this award was founded." The Sellinger School has honored a Business Leader of the Year since 1983, recognizing those whose vision, dedicated effort and singular commitment to the highest ideals of business have distinguished them and their organizations as among the very best in the nation.
